SEO Roots
What everyone knows about SEO
SEO (Search Engine Optimisation), is a synonym of visibility. For many people SEO means more visitors for their websites. But more people on my website is just useless, unless they make me earn money, right ?
This post show you the 3 main ways that a search engine like Google consider to rank your website.
Today, everyone knows that the first optimisation on a website is to build SEO friendly pages.
And everyone knows how to do that : using headings (h1, h2…), page title, place the keywords at the top, repeat the same keywords % times in a same paragraph…
So everyone do that.
From your point of view, what are the other points a search engine could consider to rank a website ?
3 steps to rank higher
Those 3 steps are just common sense, they break all SEO myths:
- Age of the website (”Since how long this website is writing about soap ?”)
- Number of backlinks (Especially links from another high ranked website, for sure)
- Is the website “fresh” (New content added, updates, …)
All these steps are the roots of SEO.
Let’s work on it !

I consider SEO like a video game.
Tips, tricks, and personnal skills to achieve one goal : get ranked (or make money, as you said).
Is there any website with challenges arround SEO ?
It will be a great thing for sure.

I wasn’t aware that domain’s age was that important.
I have 2 questions:
From which age is a domain interesting to buy (3 years at least ?) ?
What is the best place to buy old domains ?
Thx
